The most common measuring mistakes
Chapters
In short
- 01A wall measured at one height misleads you. Measure it at three heights and use the smallest measurement.
- 02A skirting board pushes the cabinets away from the wall, and a radiator and heating pipes stand in the way of the run. Measure them or agree to have them removed.
- 03For the room door and the windows, note which way they open and the sill height. A door or sash must not hit a cabinet, a handle or the tap.
- 04Tiles, adhesive, plaster and a new floor make the room smaller. If you measure before the finishing work, repeat the check measurements before cutting.
- 05Along with the parts of a wall, measure the whole wall too. The parts must add up to the total length.
