AK03-04 · 5 MIN · M03 MEASURING THE ROOM · LESSON 4 OF 5
Sketch and photos for the workshop
Chapters
In short
- 01The sketch must be good enough for the workshop to use without another visit. It has a floor plan and an elevation of every wall that takes cabinets.
- 02The floor plan shows every wall with its label and length, the diagonals and the height. It shows the doors and windows with the way they open, and any pillars and projections.
- 03A window gets its width, height and distance from the start of the wall. It also gets its sill height, the height of the bottom edge from the floor.
- 04The chain of dimensions along a wall must add up to the total length of the wall. The wall material is written on the sketch too.
- 05First photograph every wall in full, in the same order as the sketch. Then take close-ups, with a tape measure next to each service.
- 06Before you leave, go through the checklist. Write the date, the customer and who measured on the sketch.
